Privacy Policy

How Northpark Church collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us.

Effective October 9, 2026

Overview

Northpark Church ("we," "our," "us") operates this website. This policy explains what information the site collects, why we collect it, and where it goes. The short version: the site itself collects personal information only through two forms of its own — the contact form and the directory request form on our Download page — we use it to follow up with you in ministry, and we never sell it or use it for advertising. Our ministry forms — connect, prayer, baptism, child dedication, and salvation — are hosted by Church Center and open on their site, not ours.

This site does not require an account, and you can browse every page without telling us who you are.

What we collect

This site has two forms of its own. Everything else we ask you to fill out lives on Church Center:

  • The contact form — your name, email address, phone number (optional), and message.
  • The directory request form on our Download page — your email address, which our staff use to find you in Planning Center and send you an invitation to the church directory in Church Center.
  • Connect, prayer, baptism, child dedication, and salvation forms — these are links to Church Center, Planning Center's platform. Filling one out happens on their site, under Planning Center's privacy policy, and this site never sees your answers.

How we use it

We use what you send through the contact form to do what you asked: respond to your message and, where it helps, connect you with the right person on our staff. That's ministry follow-up — a real person at Northpark reads your message and reaches out. When you ask to join the directory, a staff member looks your email address up in Planning Center, our church management system, to match it with your profile before sending an invitation — nothing is sent automatically. We don't use your information for advertising, we don't sell or rent it to anyone, and we don't share it except with the service providers below who help us run the site.

Where it goes

Our ministry forms — connect, prayer, baptism, child dedication, and salvation — are hosted on Church Center, Planning Center's platform, not on this site. When you open one, you leave this website, and your answers go directly to Planning Center, where our church staff read them under Planning Center's own privacy policy. This site never sees, collects, or stores them.

Contact form messages and directory requests are stored in the site's own content database (Sanity), where only church staff can read them, and a copy of each is emailed to our staff through Resend, an email delivery service.

To protect both forms from spam, we apply basic automated checks and rate limiting. For rate limiting, each form keeps a one-way hashed version of your IP address — the raw address itself is never stored — along with your browser's technical identifier (its user-agent string), so staff can recognise an abusive pattern. We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile to screen submissions; when it is active, Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser, including your IP address, to tell people from bots.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited. It is anonymous and cookieless — it doesn't identify you, follow you across other sites, or build a profile of you. This site does not use advertising trackers, and it sets no tracking cookies.

Video embeds

Sermon and message pages embed video players from YouTube and Vimeo. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which is designed not to set tracking cookies unless you press play. Vimeo's standard player is used for a small number of older messages. When you play an embedded video, the platform that hosts it may collect data under its own privacy policy.

Online giving

Giving happens on Church Center, Planning Center's hosted giving platform — not on this site. When you give, you leave this website, and your payment details go directly to Church Center. This site never sees, collects, or stores card numbers, bank details, or gift amounts.

Children's information

This site is intended for adults, and the site itself doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. The baptism and child dedication forms it links to ask a parent or guardian to provide their child's name and birth date; those forms are on Church Center, and the answers are stored in Planning Center with the family's records and used only to prepare for the baptism or dedication. If you'd like your child's information corrected or removed, contact us and we will take care of it.

Keeping and removing your information

We keep what you share for as long as it's useful for ministry — for example, so we can stay in touch after you send us a message. If you'd like to know what we have, correct something, or have your information removed, email admin@northparkrdu.com or call (919) 578-5542 and we'll honor your request.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we'll update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
