OUTREACH

ser•vo•lu•tion (noun)a revolution of service

SERVOLUTION is the name of our community outreach ministry at Northpark Church. Our goal is to start a service revolution in our cities and across the world. Serving God and others is our top priority. We believe SERVOLUTION is the difference we as a church need to show people both locally and abroad the love of Jesus. Ultimately, we want to change lives by showing the endless love and grace that is provided to us as followers of Christ.

Specific community outreach efforts and opportunities will be posted below as they arise throughout the year.

ANGEL TREE OUTREACH

In Partnership with River Bend Middle School

Northpark family has the incredible opportunity again this year to partner with our family at River Bend Middle School to serve students and families that need a little extra help this Christmas season.

For this outreach initiative, NP family members will have the opportunity beginning Sunday, November 19, to select a child/family represented by an ornament on our Angel Tree in the NP lobby. Then throughout the next few weeks, you will be able to collect things like gift cards, grocery and gas cards, clothing (socks, hats, gloves, etc) and more!  All items should be turned back into the Northpark team by Sunday, December 10.

HOLIDAY GIFT MARKET

*Formerly “Presents of Peace”
Sun, Dec 17 from 1:00-3:00pm

Help families who need a little extra help this Christmas season shop for their kids at the AE Finley YMCA Holiday Gift Market. Help select clothing and toy items with parents, assist in wrapping gifts, and lend a hand carrying gifts outside/to the car. Best of all – build relationships! This is a great volunteer opportunity for families and friends to serve together!

Want to help? Sign up by 11:59pm Wed, Dec 13!

MOBILE MARKET

Every Other Wednesday

For the past three years, Northpark has partnered with The Oaks Community and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to host a bi-weekly Mobile Market and provide FREE food for anyone in our community that needs it. Local grocers and farms donate produce, meat, bread, desserts, dry goods, and more, and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle delivers these donations to The Oaks neighborhood (near Sanderson High School) every other week.

A team of volunteers (that’s us!) helps unload the donation boxes, organize the foods, and then pre-packs large boxes with various foods for those who stop by. The truck typically arrives around 12:15PM on it’s scheduled weeks and the unpacking/sorting is typically done between 1:30-2:00PM.
