OUTREACH

ser•vo•lu•tion (noun)a revolution of service

SERVOLUTION is the name of our community outreach ministry at Northpark Church. Our goal is to start a service revolution in our cities and across the world. Serving God and others is our top priority. We believe SERVOLUTION is the difference we as a church need to show people both locally and abroad the love of Jesus. Ultimately, we want to change lives by showing the endless love and grace that is provided to us as followers of Christ.

Specific community outreach efforts and opportunities will be posted below as they arise throughout the year.

ANGEL TREE 2021

The Northpark family has the incredible opportunity again this year to partner with our family at River Bend Middle School to serve students and families that need a little extra help this Christmas season.

There are TWO main ways we can help:

(1) ANGEL TREE GIFT CARDS
The team at RBMS has identified approximately 53 students/families that would benefit greatly from being part of this year’s Angel Tree. All of the families included this year are impacted by one of the following:

  • has had a hardship due to COVD and still trying to be re-establish living
  • group home student
  • foster care student
  • living in a shelter
  • or are in a single-parent home with multiple children

Starting Sunday, November 7, there will be a tree in the lobby at Northpark with ornaments on it representing each of these students/families. Each child/family has listed a type of gift card that they most want or would be the most helpful to them and their family this holiday season.

After service you can grab an ornament or two and check in with the volunteer at the Angel Tree table by the tree to get your envelope and instructions for the child you selected. Return your envelope with the gift card you purchased (any amount between $25-$100) to the Angel Tree table in the lobby on a Sunday morning on or before November 28.

(2) ITEM DONATIONS
Another way we can help is by donating some physical items that could benefit students and families this holiday, AND all throughout the year at River Bend Middle.

We asked the RBMS team and the specific items they mentioned that they need the most and are the most requested by families are:

  • Pencils
  • Bookbags
  • Socks
  • Beanies (Toboggans/Knit Hats)
  • Feminine Products (Pads)
  • Mini Bottles of Water
  • Individually Packaged Snacks

If you would like to purchase any of these items to donate to the school, you can bring them in – unwrapped – on Sunday mornings, now through Sunday, December 5, and turn them in at the Angel Tree table in the lobby as well.
