NORTHPARK CHURCH
MINISTRIES
There are lots of great ways to get involved and use your gifts, talents, and passions at Northpark to serve God and serve others. The Northpark family truly believes that we don’t HAVE to serve. We GET to serve. Galatians 5:13 calls us to “use our freedom to serve one another with magnificent love!” and that’s exactly what we want to do.
We’ve listed several of our ministry teams below, but there are countless ways to get even more involved. Let us help you find an area of ministry that you can plug into and us the gifts and interests God has given you to serve with purpose!
DISCOVERY KIDS
At Northpark we believe that ALL souls matter to God, especially the little ones! The Discovery Kidz Ministry (DKM) team helps to minister to children from birth – 5th grade on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. From our nursery areas, to our toddler classroom, to our very own worship service for elementary school students, DKM team members help meet kids on their level so they can grow to be life-long followers of Jesus!
STUDENTS
ZION
Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm (High School & Middle School)
– Northpark’s student ministry gives middle school and high school students the opportunity to create a sincere and significant relationship with Jesus and others from a different perspective. We hold weekly gatherings for the students to worship, discuss, and do Bible study. The students can bring friends, enjoy great food, and have access to lifelong discipleship tools. Ultimately, students will begin forming lasting relationships and making a positive impact in people and schools of the community of Raleigh.
LIFE GROUPS
LIFE – MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS CAUSE AMAZING CHANGES
This is what we have been saying at Northpark and it is one of our biggest beliefs. We desire to connect with you on the weekend, but we understand that a deep connection with Christ and others is required more than once a week for the growth of your relationship with Christ. This is the reason we have all of our DISCIPLESHIP OPTIONS! Northpark gives the opportunity to adults to meet throughout the week by providing large and small group Bible studies (Life Groups). Likewise, there is one-on-one mentoring available for couples or individuals. With these opportunities, people can achieve the development of friendships with others, and motivate their spiritual growth and a deeper walk with God.
We invite you to come out and look for an option that makes you feel right at home!

1st & 3rd Sundays @ 5:30pm | North Raleigh (Gouge & Hodges Homes)
The love of God is passionate, lasting, and all-powerful. Being complacent religiously does not require working harder at a list of do’s and don’ts. It requires falling in love with God. Encountering God’s love will leave you a different person, says Francis Chan. You are never the same when you are crazily in love with someone.
(Childcare provided on-site)
The Book of James
Jonathan & Ashley Tomaszewski and Craig &Leane Cahoon
Every other Sunday @ 6:00pm | North Raleigh (Cahoon Home)
There are amazing results with true faith. When action does not follow faith and does not bring a change in life, then such faith is dead. Having living faith in Jesus is expatiated in the book of James— the active and unlimited kind of discipleship that comes from an ideal relationship with Jesus Christ. The book of James was written to believers who suffer and face trials, and who have ultimate desire for a deeper relationship with God.

MISSIONS
“And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth!” – Acts 1:8
At Northpark Church, we are passionate about building lifelong followers of Christ not only locally but abroad. Our missional approach stems from the four pulpits laid out for us in Acts 1:8 – Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth. Given the context of the time, “Jerusalem” represents the existing church family and immediately outlying areas. For us that’s Raleigh. “Judea” is representative of areas just beyond the local community. For Northpark, that’s North Carolina. “Samaria” is an even larger outlying area but still targeted on a global scale. For us, that’s the United States. And “the ends of the earth” represents a global outreach opportunity to all other areas across the world. We have worked and will continue to work diligently to carry God’s love and His Word to all four of these pulpits.
