OUTREACH

ser•vo•lu•tion (noun)a revolution of service

SERVOLUTION is the name of our community outreach ministry at Northpark Church. Our goal is to start a service revolution in our cities and across the world. Serving God and others is our top priority. We believe SERVOLUTION is the difference we as a church need to show people both locally and abroad the love of Jesus. Ultimately, we want to change lives by showing the endless love and grace that is provided to us as followers of Christ.

Specific community outreach efforts and opportunities will be posted below as they arise throughout the year.

Join us for the SERVOLUTION!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD OUTREACH

This year, the Northpark family will be participating in Operation Christmas Child in conjunction with the non-profit organization Samaritan’s Purse! We have committed to filling at least 50 shoeboxes which means providing 50 precious children with a meaningful, love-filled gift this Christmas.

Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift‍-‍filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God’s immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! These shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.

OCC AT NORTHPARK:

Sunday, October 19 – The first opportunity to pick up a box will be after service on this day by visiting the OCC Info table at the back of the Worship Center

  • Full instructions, examples, ideas, and deadlines will be included with each box!
  • We will record your name and email so we can send out reminders along the way.
  • If not all 50 boxes are claimed on this day, boxes will be available the following Sunday as well!

***Filled boxes with their label and $10 donation can be returned to NP any Sunday through Nov 16! (Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9, and Nov 16)

Sunday, November 16 – All filled boxes are due back to Northpark by this date.

  • We will deliver all the Boxes packed by NP family members to a Samaritan’s Purse official drop-off donation during their National Collection Week (Nov 17-24).

MOBILE MARKET

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month

For the past five years, Northpark has partnered with The Oaks Community and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to host a bi-weekly Mobile Market and provide FREE food for anyone in our community that needs it. Local grocers and farms donate produce, meat, bread, desserts, dry goods, and more, and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle delivers these donations to The Oaks neighborhood (near Sanderson High School) every other week.

A team of volunteers (that’s us!) helps unload the donation boxes, organize the foods, and then pre-packs large boxes with various foods for those who stop by. The truck typically arrives around 12:15PM on it’s scheduled weeks and the unpacking/sorting is typically finished between 1:30-2:00PM. Distribution of boxes to those who need them typically happens at the Oaks Community Building between 1:30/2:00 until 4:00pm.

Want to help?

If you would like to volunteer one or even multiple Wednesdays, or if you would like additional information, contact Stephanie at stephanie@northparkrdu.com!
